Academic Year 2026 (Second semester)

The Graduate Program in Dentistry announces the opening of applications for the selection process for candidates at the Master's and Doctoral levels, aiming to fill vacancies for the second semester of the 2026 academic year. The application period is from April 6th to May 29th, 2026.

Enrollment

Application will be made online only.

The candidate must submit the following documents:

  1. Copy of identity card (preferably) or other identification document with national validity, for Brazilian candidates;
  2. Copy of birth or marriage certificate;
  3. Copy of CPF;
  4. Copy of academic transcript of undergraduate course(s);
  5. Copy of front and back of diploma(s) of undergraduate course(s), registered, from a course recognized by the MEC;
  6. Copy of front and back of diploma of Master's degree, for candidates for Doctorate;
  7. Copy of Academic Transcript of Master's degree, for candidates for Doctorate;
  8. Documented curriculum vitae (preferably Lattes);
  9. Registration fee of R$ 45.00 (*);
  10. Copy of proof of payment of the registration fee.

Foreign candidates must submit as well:

  • Copy of the National Foreigners Registry (RNE)/National Migration Registry (RNM) or document proving legal residence in Brazil;
  • CELPE-BRAS certificate of sufficiency in Portuguese (http://portal.inep.gov.br/acoes-internacionais/celpe-bras). The exam registration protocol may be accepted.

Candidates who have undergraduate or Master's Degree in foreign institutions must present the following documents:

  • Copy of the transcripts and the diploma of the undergraduate course duly revalidated, according to the current legislation, except in the case of international agreements, as long as they are incorporated by Brazil.
  • Copy of the academic record and the Master's degree, duly recognized by a Brazilian program recognized by CAPES, for candidates for the Doctorate.

(*) The registration fee must be paid by bank slip generated at the end of completing the online registration form.
In case of any issues related to the generation or payment of the invoice, it is recommended to contact directly the Secretary of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Dentistry.
The registration fee will not be refunded if the candidate is not selected for any stage of the selection process.

Applicants must send digital copies of documents, in PDF format, to e-mail: pgodonto@unip.br and wait for confirmation of receipt. Only legible copies and original sizes will be accepted.
In case of approval in the selection process, all documents must have their originals presented at the time of registration.

Registrations with partial delivery of documentation or illegible documents and that do not strictly meet the requirements of this Notice will not be accepted.

The personal data provided by candidates will be used exclusively for the purposes of this selection process for admission to the Program, in accordance with Law No. 13.709/2018 (General Data Protection Law – LGPD).
By registering, the candidate acknowledges that their name may be disclosed in official publications and on the Program's pages, in accordance with the principle of transparency provided for in Article 6, item VI, of the LGPD.

Application

The selection of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Dentistry, at the Master and Doctorate level, comprises:

Step I - Eliminatory
The registration will only be validated by paying the bank slip and sending the complete documentation within the stipulated period.
Validation is done by confirmation email sent to the candidate

Step II - Only for approved candidates in Phase I
Written test (maximum duration of 1h30min) and proficiency test (maximum duration of 30min) in English for Master's degree.
Written test (maximum duration of 1h30min) and proficiency test (maximum duration of 30min) in English and Spanish for Doctorate degree.

For the English language, the candidate may present proof of a TOEFL or similar proficiency exam, valid for 6 months and a score of 230 points for the Master's level and 400 points for the Doctorate level, at least.
For the Spanish language, the candidate will be able to present proof of proficiency exam at a recognized institution, valid for 6 months.

Calendar

PHASE I – Registration and Submission of Documents
From April 6th to May 29th, 2026.
Registration will only be validated upon payment of the bank slip and submission of complete documentation within the stipulated deadline.

PHASE II – Selection Exam for Candidates Approved in Phase I
June 15, 2026 (Monday), starting at 9 am – Interview, written test and proficiency test.

Selection Results
June 29, 2026 (Monday), starting at 6 PM – Announcement of approved candidates.
June 30, 2026 (Tuesday) - Online meeting with approved candidates. Times: 12 pm – Approved for Master's programs; 1 pm – Approved for Doctoral programs.

Registration

Enrollment must be done in person at the Program Secretariat, between July 6th to 17th, 2026, when the candidate must:

  1. Submit the following original documents:
    a) Identity card or other identification document with national validity, for Brazilian candidates;
    b) CPF (Individual Taxpayer);
    c) Birth or Marriage Certificate;
    d) School History of the Undergraduate Course of a course recognized by MEC;
    e) Diploma of the Graduation Course of course recognized by the MEC, registered;
    f) Academic history of the Master's course (only for the Doctorate);
    g) Master's Diploma of course recommended by CAPES (only for the Doctorate);
    h) 1 3x4 photograph (recent);

    Foreign candidates must submit as well:
    i) National Registry of Foreigners (RNE) or document proving regular stay in Brazil;
    j) CELPE-BRAS certificate of sufficiency in Portuguese. The exam registration protocol may be accepted.

    Candidates that have a degree in foreign institutions must submit the following documents:
    k) School transcript and duly revalidated graduation course diploma, in accordance with current legislation, except in the case of international agreements, provided they are incorporated by Brazil;
    l) School transcript and Master's degree, duly recognized by a Brazilian program recognized by CAPES, for Doctoral candidates.
  2. Sign the Educational Services Agreement;
  3. Make the choice of subjects to be taken in the semester;
  4. Remove the payment slip for payment of the registration fee.

Scholarships

The Postgraduate Program in Dentistry offers PROSUP scholarships funded by CAPES. The Selection Notice for the second semester of 2026 will be available on the Program's website, in the section > Selection Processes > PROSUP/CAPES Scholarship Selection.

Note: Registration for PROSUP scholarships is independent of registration for the course's admission selection process. Therefore, participation in the course's selection process does not, in itself, imply registration for the scholarship.
Exceptionally, candidates may register for the PROSUP scholarship during the same period in which they register for the Program's admission selection process.
